Our Fall List:

I thought a fall list was in order.
{halloween pics to come}
I love this time of year.
It's so cozy.

It's Halloween!

Some fun from our "Boo at the Zoo" trip.
This boy figured out what Trick or Treating
is about and he is a pro!

Can't wait for tonight!

"I don't know that there are real ghosts and goblins, but there are always more trick-or-treaters than neighborhood kids."
 ~Robert Brault
{how true is that!}

Happy Halloween!
Save me some Reese's Cups they are my favorite.

It's a {SUPER} Halloween!

This is our second year having the amazing Miss Meredith
of  519 Photography do Jackson's Halloween pictures.
What can we say we are smitten with the results.

She captured our little mans SUPER personality.
Thanks Meredith.
We love them!
Happy Halloween.

Happy Halloween.

picture taken by the lovely Meredith at 519 Photography.

Can you stand the cuteness?!
I will have the full preview of pictures at some point after Halloween.
Once I get the CD I will share them all.
Hope everyone has a lovely holiday weekend
and you get more treats than tricks.

Mind Dump Thursday.

4 random, random things this week.

1. A couple of my favorite phone pictures this week.
I am addicted to photography phone apps.

On their computers. lol
From our ride on the golf cart just before we took her home.
<3 this girl.

2. Every day this week while Jackson had his nap, I have done laundry, cleaned up toys and turned on
Ghost Whisper. I don't know why I love re-runs of this show but, I do. Cheesy I know. The funniest part is that I have to "do" things while I watch it so I have a reason to walk out of the room during the scary parts. I am such a sissy.

3. I am so excited for Halloween this weekend. This weekend is Daddy's busiest at work. I am going to be SO glad when it is over {I know he is more than me}, but we are still fitting in Trick or Treating Sunday night. :) This will be Jackson's first year really doing it. We have been practicing saying "Trick or Treat" with his blue plastic pumpkin bucket. I have been filling it up with trucks, trains, anything I can reach while he is playing this game with me. Daddy thinks Bub's is going to be disappointed when people are just giving out candy and not cars. Let's hope he is not right. lol

4. I didn't tell the Milano story here. I thought I had but, instead shared it somewhere else. SEE MOM.
It's on the blog now. :)

This happened a few weeks ago now but, we did want to remember it
{c&p from that other place}
Jackson stayed with my parents last weekend overnight and since then has been saying this word I couldn't quite figure out "melanooo" for a week I have been stumped. "Mommy I want some melanoo, mommy melanoo like cc".
Fast forward to today. we are walking through walmart and he starts screaming. Melanoo,Melanooo mommmmmyyyyyy, melanooooo.
I look down and Milano cookies are in front of me. I don't know why I didn't think of this. My mom loves these but, always keeps them hidden in the top cabinet so she doesn't have to share. ;) apparently she opened Jackson's eye's to the deliciousness that is Milano and now I have a two year old with expensive cookie taste.  Really mom, why not oreos.
It really was so funny.
TaDaaa, all caught up.

In the pictures

I post a lot of pictures on this blog.
Mostly because I love taking and sharing pictures of my little family.
I think my guys are great and pretty handsome.
BUT,
I hate to be in the pictures. I feel uncomfortable in front of the camera. It feels weird and I always look off. I am still that 13 year old awkward girl when I see myself in shots and this was ok.
Until I had Jackson and realized that while I am at almost everything we do I am rarely in the pictures.
Unless I ask B to take one, or someone is around to take a family shot. I'm just not.
It's ok I like it that way but, it was also time.

We had our pictures done this past weekend by the lovely Laura Brett. I am in love with her work.
If I could go back and have Jackson' s pictures done his first year she would have been my pick.
She even has a Charles Chip container she uses. My grandma kept one of these in her house before the storm. I honestly teared up the first time I saw her do a newborn shot with it.
I can not wait to see our pictures. Don't worry I plan to Aww them once we get them but, I wanted to say to all the mommy's out there. Get in the picture. You will look back and not worry about that last 10lbs or way your cheeks look chubby when you smile for real. You will see a moment, a moment with your family at {fill in the blank} and be glad you were in them.

I was flipping through pictures and found these B must have taken. I forget why if I asked him or he was just snapping but, they made me smile. I have these memories now but, as the years go on and new ones take up space in my brain. I am glad I have pictures of the kisses and giggles.
So really, get it in the pictures. You won't regret it.

The hiding place and fake fit.

Normal couch in our normal living room
 Or...
The best hiding place for a 2yr old ever?
You decide.
 Normal cushions or...
 hiding place #1
I just had to buy new measuring cups because I couldn't
find all of my cups. Hmmm. I should have
checked the couch first.
and behind cushion #2...
and you thought it was just a couch and some cushions
Now on to a phase that has passed us {thank goodness}
The fake fits.
"Mommy can I have some cookies?"
"No, Bub's we are having lunch first"
"Noooooo, cookies"
Cue fake tears, I swear he can do these on command.
Well, his command. Now before you think I am mean for taking these pictures.
Watch.
"Bubbie, take a breath. Don't you want some turkey and chips?"
"Chips"
Look at that the tears are gone... Magic I tell you
and back to my laughing boy.

This phase lasted a good month and man we were not sad to say goodbye to that one.
I love this little guy, hiding places, fake fits and all.
He keeps me on my toes for sure.

Happy Wednesday.
xoxo ra
