Happy Halloween!

Tonight we will be making this yummy tortilla soup
and will go trick or treating in our neighborhood.
I'm not sure if I am more excited about the candy or
the cute kids in costumes!

Happy Halloween from our Angry Birds to you!
(Not bad for $12 worth of t shirts and felt from Hobby Lobby, huh?)

Edited to add this awesome Halloween Miracle picture Miss Michelle took of us.
We are all smiling {read: Jackson is looking and smiling} :)
I love it and we are in front of Taquria Del Sol what more could a picture ask for?!

mommy carved and the one daddy did. ;)

It's Mater!

Such a fun night.
We have a halloween party to go to this weekend.
Can't wait to share our costumes.

All caught up.

I'm playing catch up yet again.
My email was acting crazy and well, the week was packed.
Now onto the cuteness!

Check out our Sable... Gah, I love this kid.
The Oh, so talented and lovely Meredith
of 519 photography has done it again.
She has done Jackson's Halloween pictures
every year and we just love her.

Can't stand the cuteness. You can check out her blog
post here to see some more adorable. :)

Next up is the very first sport photograph of Jackson.
I DIE!
You guys. That smile can get him out of trouble in a quickness.
We have really loved soccer this season.
Couch Skip has been so awesome with the kids.
I would say this season has been a major success.
Go Team Thunder!

and you know I love a phone dump...

1. Made these cookies and I agree. The best. 2. Helped dad put in this counter top on their breakfast bar. Love it! 3. Hello, eye candy. 4. Happy Birthday to Shelley. 5.Best Cupcakes ever. 6. The Shower that Pinterest Built.

It was that and so much more. You guys I get teary even thinking about our Nanny becoming a Mommy. She is going to be an amazing one and honestly this shower had to be too!
I co-hosted the shower with her SIL
Shanna and Grandma Mona {Pam's mom}.
I couldn't have done it with out them. It was amazing.
I honestly took detail shots and then handed off my camera.
I missed out on so many shots too!
I didn't even get the door or balloon entrance!
Now onto the good stuff. Pictures!!!

Click to make larger. :)

Drinking out of bottles! Yes, please.

The mantle was one of my favorite things. :)
Pam's maternity photographer was kind enough
to send me this picture for the mantle.
Love it, she rocked the sunflare and the pictures came out so good!
Check out her page here...Taken by Tate

The gifts galore. The ladies showered mommy so sweetly.
The cute, cute food! Shanna and Mona had such cute ideas!

Ok, The sweetest gift. I am totally going to brag on Shanna.
She not only made this quilt, she made up the pattern!
Pictures on the bottom right of us gals and the
left of Pam and her Mama and MIL

It was such an amazing shower.
I have not laughed so hard in a long time.
Who knew the bottles to drink out of would be such a hit. ;)
In all seriousness it was a pleasure and joy to shower my bestie.
She is no doubt going to be such an amazing momma.
Durham is one lucky guy.

Seven

Brian,

{from this}
This was the first time he met my parents.
At a Jimmy Buffet concert, lucky guy.

{To this}
::swoon::

Seven Years.
Can that be right? It seems like yesterday and
twenty years ago all at the same time.
 I am so lucky.
Not like most girls when they say that all stary eyed.
The serious, deep in my soul lucky.
You are what I always imagined my partner would be.
You love me more than I love myself most of the time.
You are loyal, and true. The best daddy I know. Super hot.
You calm me when I get anxious. You always keep your promises.
You can make me laugh in a heartbeat and piss me off faster than anyone else. ;) I guess that is just life. You make mine easy.

You have made my relationship advice the truth:

"The relationship part has to be easy, because life is hard.
If the relationship part is hard, then your in for a struggle. So (ladies) just wait for the one that it isn't work with.
I promise he is worth the wait."

You were worth the wait. Although, I was lucky enough to find you pretty quick. We were babies when we met. Twenty one year olds are crazy. Somehow nine years ago crazy worked.
We have had to change but, like a fine wine {insert cheesy line} we have gotten better with age.

Thanks for being my guy. My love, my blessing.
I love you.
Your Ra.

Like seventh grade I am going to dedicate to you two songs.

Everything about this is us now.

Our song. <3

Bullet Points.

  • I am throwing bestie her baby shower this weekend. Hosting with her Mom and SIL. It is by far the hardest thing I have done keeping everything a secret. KILLING ME! She is my sounding board for most things and I just am so excited to celebrate her little man and shower her. I can not wait for her to see everything we have put together. I am already getting choked up thinking about it.

  • Hung out with some friends last Sunday and had so much fun. It's so much fun to be with people who are just easy (that's what she said). The kids all love each other, the daddies get along, and we can chat.

  • Remember in my last post I mentioned that fabric I had gotten to make pillows for the couch? I used two of them and finished them up a few days ago. I am loving them.

  • Mom made it home safe and sound last weekend from Colorado. She went and visited her best friend (my Godmother) Marlene and came home with a ton of old pictures. These go with out comments. Check out the awesome.

  • Found my dream pair of fall boots at Famous Footwear of all places. They are Steve Madden (last session but, who cares)  and I am in love. The lady even mentioned they had a 20% off coupon online and you can bet your bottom I printed it out before I bought them. Woop. Woop!

  • Please pray for my dear dear friend Lala. She lost her dad last week. We are going tomorrow to squeeze her neck. I just can't imagine. So send a few warm thoughts her way please.

We Lala love you!
{Me, Nanny, Lala, Kim}

  • We have big plans to head to the duck tape fair tonight that is in town. Fun fun. ;) Happy Thursday Lovies.

Things I have said in the past week.

"Jackson that is a spatula not a golf club."

"When we pee in the potty, you need to not swing around. Remember that makes a big mess?"

Me: "Jack when you are not nice it makes mommy sad.
I need you to put your listening ears on and be nice".
Jack:  (as he lays a hand on my shoulder)
"Mommy everyone has to be sad sometimes, it's just ok".

And he walks off. I had to leave the room so I
didn't bust out laughing in front of him.

He has also started in the last week or two singing with the radio. Even to songs I didn't think he would know. It is so funny. I am going to try and catch it on video.

Oh, this boy. He keeps me on my toes for sure.
I love every second. Even if I am worn out at the end of everyday.

How Pinteresting

Pinterest is my new favorite place for inspiration.
So once again here are some things that I have finished.

BUT FIRST!
Our sweet girl had her Cheer Off this past weekend and they came in second!
Go Panthers!
This is actually a sign I saw in a vintage store near us that closed down.
I had always loved it and was so bummed I didn't snatch it up before they closed.
I had found this board and decided to paint it and just add the saying.
Love it!

and this is in Jack's playroom!
I also added one near his reading chair for his favorite books
and we are switching them out all the time.
It's his new favorite game.

Our version.
I wanted a few pops of color in Jack's playroom and this was the perfect way to do this.
Stay tuned because another one is in the works and a surprise with these!
Had to share this also.
Ocho's had their sale this week and I racked up!
Can't wait to show you what is in the works for these.
