Jello and a PT update.

Jello, an all american summer treat, right?
I mean what child doesn't love that jiggly summer treat?

Well, me for one.

I guess it was a texture thing or maybe the flavors. YUCK.
Now don't worry. I am not going to deprive my sweet baby jello goodness just
because his mom has a weird dislike for it.

See. I made him Cherry. The number 1 jello flavor.

Gotta love this face...
Ut Oh...
Oh man...
"Mom whatever that was. DO NOT do it again."

Point taken little man, point taken.
You may be daddy's spitting image but, you got your momma in there too.

To say this made me smile is an understatement.
Want to know something else that makes me smile?

Physical Therapy. You heard me right.
The very thing I cursed last week and gave me an awful stomach ache the closer I got today. Made me smile. Jackson got a new physical therapist today and she was amazing. Her approach was completely different and it was wonderful. There was a good 20 minutes that he forgot he wasn't next to me. He laughed and we got a lot of great information and some new stretches and games to play. This is such a relief I didn't know how we were going to get through it after last week. I can once again say I am excited to see where it takes us.

Please say a prayer for Sweet Baby Stellan. He isn't doing well again. His little heart is fighting like crazy. You can click his button to the right and read up on his story. We are asking for a miracle.

Brown Bear, Breathing Treatments and a game of Catch

Welcome to our Monday.

As if the double ear infection wasn't enough now he has a nasty cough.
Boo. but, his spirits are always high enough for a game of catch.

Hey Mister Postman!

So today we had PT #2. Yikes! Today was tough.
I am just praying that it gets easier from here.
That's all I'll say about that.

BUT!
Tonight we did something very exciting...

We were inspired by Nanny's post HERE.

Jackson loves his Nanny so much. So of course he was
so excited to send in our RSVP to the wedding.

We can not wait to share in this amazing day
with Nanny and Nanner!

Brushem Brushem Brushem

We have upgraded from the finger rubber toothbrush to Jackson's first big boy tooth brush. He loves to brush his teeth with it. I had mom Flip him while I brushed them this afternoon (sorry for the sideways video, thanks mom ;) )

Enjoy and Happy Weekend

Check back Monday for this week's "Not me Monday".
(Ugh, I have a doozie)

A New Adventure.

So we started a new adventure in the W household today.
Jackson is starting physical therapy.

We had our initial consult at The CHOA Scottish Rite Location this morning. I have to admit I was a little nervous going into it. All in all it went great. I almost *almost* lost it only once and I thought that was good. :) Our PT was wonderful. Super sweet and answered all of our questions. At the end of the evaluation (that lasted 2 1/2hrs) she gave J his score on the scale they have. 10-12 is average and he is functioning (for his gross motor skills) at a 2. I was a little surprised at how low it was, but when she started going over things he "should" do I realized her assessment was more than fair. (That's when I *almost lost it). The part that they actually did the physical therapy with him a lot of tears were shed. She reassured us that none of the exercises hurt him, that he was just out of his comfort zone and upset. I could tell by his cry that was true. It was more mad and frustrated. She said this usually lasts the first month or so then they get more comfortable. So all in all it was a success. We will go once a week for an hour session and do workouts at home. Then when BCW starts we will add another PT session in the home also (they take up to 45 days to initially contact you). It looks like we are at a great place to catch up and it will be work for Jackson but, we know he is up to the challenge. Our PT today thought that in 3-4 months we should be up to speed. We will meet the PT we will work with throughout Jackson's therapy next week. So say some prayers for our little man. I know this journey is one we need to embark on. I just hate to make him upset and cry he is such a happy man. I don't ever want anything to break his sweet spirit. I guess this will be the first time since he was born we as parents will have to do something he may not like for his own good. I'm sure not the last.

I leave you with a picture from this evening.
We had to get some swing time in since he worked so hard today.

Favorite Picture Post!

So I am going to give this a try. I mean if you guys know how much I love posting pictures of Bub's so why not do it with a slew of other bloggers! I hope it works. :)

and with out further a do ...

Ok I had two. :)

Oh my sweet babies. :) When they were babies. Time just goes by so fast.

Not Me Monday...

This is a really cute blogging world subject started by Stellan's Momma over at mycharmingkids.
The idea is you tell things you have done but, in a "No, not me?" kind of way from the past week.
Super fun. So from time to time if you see it. Now you know the idea... You can skip on over to MckMomma's page and check her's out also.

Here we go...

While I sat on the living room floor and played catch with Jackson, I did NOT let him scoot into the kitchen and use my flip flop as a chew toy...

NO NOT ME.

I certainly did not grab the camera and take pictures before I took it away. That would be gross.

NOT ME

While at the lake for the forth. I did not forget a swim diaper on our boat ride and just let Jackson swim in his life jacket sans bottoms.

NO NOT ME

I most certainly did not moon daddy, then get pee'd on while I was holding him up.

NOT ME

Then when we got back on the boat and I was grabbing for his regular diaper I did not find TWO swim diapers in the bag and not tell anyone because I was embarassed.

NOT ME

Jackson was none the wiser and a little tee tee never hurt anyone, right?
Hope you have a wonderful Monday! Blog about your "NOT ME" moments today or you can leave them in the comments :)

What a weekend. :)

We had an amazing 4th weekend. I hope you all did too! Daddy got off work early on Friday and played some golf so Mommy and Bub's had a date at Cracker Barrel. He loved it so much and I am a sucker for veggies drenched in butter (lol) . Seriously he ate more off my plate than I did. :) He is a growing boy after all. Saturday we headed out to the lake. We played all day it was so much fun. Jackson was very interested and a little afraid of the fireworks show but, he couldn't look away. It was so cute. Then to top the amazing weekend off. It was Stephanie's birthday today (Her 6th anniversary of her 29th birthday) so we headed up to their house and had a cookout with them. Jackson made a new friend, Miss Mia. She is gorgeous. We had to leave a little early, little man got tired from the full weekend. It was a busy busy weekend but oh so worth it. Enjoy the pictures. :)
The Golf Cart all decked out for the 4th
Shrimp Boil with friends
Boat Time.
Getting ready for the fireworks
Watching with Grand dude Bobby.

It was so fun, Yay for fireworks.
Happy Birthday Steph!
Jackson and Mia
Cheese
Stop the presses! Christian holding a baby. Their is still hope yet!
Sweet Mia.

We did go for a wagon ride this afternoon but, the rain cut it short.
Jackson was sad but, we do need the rain.
Maybe tomorrow we will get a longer walk in.
