You need one of these

Since the last post had no Jackson pictures at all.
This one has a video.

We picked this up while visiting Aunt Sash in Athens.
They have the cutest shops downtown filled with all sorts of random things.

Jackson LOVES it.

You can get one of your own HERE.

To be honest. This thing rocks. Even daddy and I take turns with it.
It's crazy how good it feels to have your scalp massaged.

Have one? What is your favorite random gadget?

Calendars make me feel old.

Calendars and watches are just not my thing.
Never have been.

Back in the day before cell phones, yes I remember when pagers weren't even around.
(143, 5318008)
{{extra points if you get the second one. ;p }}

It used to drive me nuts when people would check their watches when they were with you.
I won't lie I had an La Gear one but, it was for style not function.
Now everyone has a phone to pop open every five min to check emails, facebook, ect, ect.
It's crazy how connected we feel we have to be at all times.
We are so afraid of missing something.

It's silly really.

The same with calendars. In a completely different way.
It was a physical reminder of what you were up to.
There was a big part of my life I didn't want to keep up with nor remember really.

My how times have changed.
This year when I put up our new calendar.
The third one I have ever had in my life.
I actually cried reading back on the things this past year has brought.
First birthday's, first teeth, physical therapy starting for Bub's, the first time he stood up.
The first time he sat up. It was all there and I wanted to remember each moment.
Every second of it. Suddenly the record of it was more important than anything.

So as I filled in birthday's and therapy sessions, weekends with Marah it hit me...

I feel old, and it feels good. I am excited for the new year.
Heck, I may even get a watch.

How have things changed for you as you have gotten older, or have they?

Happy Day After.

Hello, Lovies.

I hope the big guy was good to everyone this year.
We had an amazing couple of day's relaxing and playing.

So fun.
I won't lie. I love the hustle and bustle of the holidays.
I love being at the malls, people watching, and just getting gifts for everyone.

BUT,
Come about 9:00pm Christmas night. I am kinda done.

So, last night after the boys went to bed.
(Daddy put's Jackson down each night. It's their boy time)

Momma got to cleaning.

My tree was undressed of ornaments and lights and taken to the front porch.
Decorations around the house were carefully wrapped and stored for
their big debut next Holiday.
New toy's were put up and some older ones were boxed up to go to Goodwill.
Dusting, Vacuuming, and Relax.

I started thinking why it is I get like this.
I know some people that celebrate Christmas until after the New Year.

I guess because mom's birthday is December 29.
Every year growing up on Christmas Day, everything came down.
We would get ready for New Years and celebrating her birthday.

This tradition must have stuck because I get the itch every year.

I love it though.
I love feeling like the fresh start of the new year is here a bit early.
We can get ready to make our "Not Resolutions", and
ready to celebrate the next special day at our house.

CC's Birthday.

Anyone else take down decorations this fast or am I the odd ball?
Hope Christmas was amazing and you had the chance to stop and enjoy it.

A few pictures of Christmas...

Marah on Christmas Eve.
With her goodies for Santa.
Jackson and Marah.
Christmas morning sleepy but, excited.
Christmas evening back at home.
Bub's opening presents from Mommy and Daddy.
I love this "wow" face. I just wish it wouldn't have been blurry.
We got him an old school Playschool phone.
You know the one with the eye's that bat when you pull it.
and...
His Favorite.
Handy Manny Tools.
I love that he is looking at B like "Do you know what this is?"

Merry Christmas Lovies

I am going to take a little blogging break for the rest of the week.
Spend time with family and get some last minute things finished up.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas/Holiday.

I also want to take a second to let you all know how thankful I am
for your friendship, love, and support.

You guys just make me smile.

Ah Choo

Oh, the games we find amusing at our house.
Either this is the most precious thing ever or
we are easily amused.

I'm going to say Precious.

Hope you all have wonderful weekends.

One week until the big guy shows up.
Can you believe it?

Christmas with Hayden

This weekend we got to have Christmas with Jackson's cousin Hayden.
Nana, Grandpa, Sydney, and Aunt Amelia were there too.

We had so much fun spending time and giving gifts to everyone.
Nana made a wonderful breakfast and lunch for us.
We pigged out.
She makes these little sandwich things I need to get the recipe for and share.
They are delish.

Here are some pictures from the day.

The boys getting started.
Jackson was more interested in the paper and tissue than the presents.

Hayden loved the Mr. Potato Head Jackson got him.

The fridge phonics from Nana and Grandpa
Remember the funny story from this one...
Well, you push this button of a letter and it says
"A says Ah"
All day yesterday Jackson was scooting around the house saying
"A, Ah" and then laughing like crazy
It was so funny.

Sydney and Hayden opening presents.
Check out Jackson's face in these next two
Haha. I love that kid.
This gift was the hit of the day.
A tent with a tube.
Hayden in the tube
Bub's taking a turn
They also got a fun train table that I know they
will love for years to come.
It was a wonderful trip. The gifts were so fun but,
the company makes the trip every time.
We love you guys.
