25 weeks. Lena update.

Oh, Miss Lena. Let's play catch up on all things you.

We have made some progress in your nursery. Planning a girl room while not being the biggest girly girl has proven a little tough. I want it to feel eclectic, fun, and be something you can grow with. I think we are on the right path.
During...

I am having the P17 shots every week to keep you cooking. So far, so good. I joke you are already a pain in the rear but, really it's all worth it as long as you are ok. They burn like all get out and are not so fun but, eye on the prize. I'm going to have to get creative since this week is #6 and I don't know how I will hold the phone and snap a picture. 10 more to go and yes, we are counting down.

We found out last week that my fluid levels are looking pretty high. Not extreme but, enough to make Dr. Singh want to send me back to the perinatoligist who confirmed in fact that I do have polyhydramnios. My #'s are in the high 20's. It's a big word with some scary things that are associated with it but, we are prayerful with close monitoring you and I will both be ok. Have I mentioned you are giving me a run for my money this go round. Here are some of the best articles I have found about that long word up there.

One.    Two.   Three.
Needless to say we are praying, praying, praying that mine is an easy case and my numbers stay where they are and don't start rising. On the plus side we really like my perinatoligist a lot. It's always comforting to have a great team. She said you looked great and we just have to keep a close eye on everything. Well, that's what she said in a nutshell. ;)

Onward and Upward. We went and registered for you a couple weeks ago. Pam and Donna are planning a shower for you that I am sure will be so fun and beautiful. Jackson thought the whole scanner gun thing was the best thing ever!

Well, I think I have caught us up. This picture was taken last week. 24w4d I think. So far I have gained about 10lbs but, I feel really good most days. I can tell it's time for my shot again by Mon/Tues night because I have a lot of tightening but, other than that we are doing great and counting down until we get to meet you.  Can you tell how excited Jack is? He loves you so much already, we all do. Stay put little momma. Give us those last 10w at least ok?

Halloween 2012

Late to the game but, he was so cute none the less. He wanted to be a race car driver this year. He decided in August and never changed his mind. Nothing to do with Nascar just as if he was the famous race car driver. Zulily to the rescue. He looked so cute and it had his baseball number all over it! Go #23!!!

We had so much fun trick or treating that evening and that day at his school fall festival. :)
All in all it was an awesome day. I can't believe next year we will be trick or treating with two.

Fall Festival at preschool.
Super cute with the pumpkin he made.

 Class picture.

 Made every shot!

Time to trick or treat!

Bobby and CC brought the golf cart over so he could be like a real race car driver.

 Such a fun night!

Because sometimes you just need to go to church,

On a Monday. Last week/end has been filled with answered prayers and friends with mourning hearts.

A good friend found out last week that her 2 year old has a brain tumor and within 24hrs she was scheduled for surgery. She is doing great but, still has quite the road in front of her. Please remember Reesey and her family in your prayers. You can donate here or be apart of the auction here.

I also have two sweet ladies in my life who lost their mom's this weekend. One on Friday and one last night. Both are feeling this loss in a major way so please hold up Mckenzie and Rosie in your prayers.
For never meeting and being almost 30 yrs difference in age their stories are so similar. Both fought hard and took such amazing care of their mom's until the very last breath. I can't help but, think this is both such a gift and heartbreaking. Thinking of you guys.

We are also praying for those effected by Sandy. It's so sad to think a week later and some people haven't seen sight of help yet.

In all things we worship and praise your name. You are good, you are faithful, you are in control and for that we have the hope to keep on, keeping on~

Something on your heart? I am always here to pray for you friends. xoxo

8 is great.

8 years ago this morning I was getting ready to get married. I was a baby. B was a baby and we didn't know much but, we knew this was right. It was easy. It was something we would fight for forever together. Life is not easy, so it helps when you marry your best friend. Some one who will cheer you on, who knows you need a minute when you get angry. Who can make you laugh over nothing. It's not the big moments, the huge decisions, it's the little everyday junk that makes up love.

The best advice we received when we got married was from Tim and Donna. Our pastor and his wife. It has always stuck with us. They said that when you get married, that love is to face one another. To breathe the same breath. Back and forth. Face to face as life comes at you. Not facing the same direction. You can become way to easily distracted. This may not sound powerful enough for each person to some, or give you enough space to be you. For us, it is how we work. It's how we make the hard decisions. It's why today I can honestly say, I am more blessed and more in love with my husband.

Sure, we drive each other nuts. He leaves his pants on the back of the chair for the next day in the living room. It makes me batty but, its him and I love him. Have you seen my hair. I shed like a lion when I blow-dry my hair. I know he wishes I vacuumed each and every time but, I don't. These are just things. They kind of make me laugh really at how silly they are when I type them out.

So 8 years in. I feel good. I feel lucky. I feel really damn good about how far we have come and what the future holds. The addition that Miss. Lena will make. The growing pains we will surely go through.
We have made some changes this last year that while hard to navigate have made our family stronger. Made us love bigger and focus on us. It's so funny how as you grow up you realize that you get to pick whats right for your family. What your truth is.

Thanks B, for being my husband, my guy, my love. Thanks for being my breath. I couldn't do it without you. I would never want to.

Love Always,
Ra

Video catch up...

Here are the videos that go with the post below.  Swoon away.

Catch Up

Yes, this ol' memory storer of our has been majorly neglected. I have some fun things to share. So lets play the Oh' so fun game of Catch up. K?

Jackson is loving school. It's been really wonderful to watch him with his friends, his writing and even his imagination have exploded these last few months. If there was any guilt (for spending the $ on private) or second thoughts about his school they have fallen to the way side. Jackson is growing in an awesome, loving christian environment and in the big scheme of things for us. This is so important.
We have been catching videos of him as he shares his latest things from school. So be prepared for that at he end of the post...

Miss Lena is doing great. Growing right along. I had my (fingers crossed) last meeting with the perinatoligist this pregnancy. Everything is measuring absolutely perfect on our little lady, she is even already 9oz a full oz ahead of last weeks measurement. I know these things can even out but, we will take every single positive and run with them. I start after some insane insurance blunders (really something must be done when you have to fight to get them to cover things that you need //end rant) the p17 shot *hopefully* this week or next. I know this is something that will help her stay put at least until 36w and that is our goal. This little detail means I am very well half way done. Holy Moly.

Our sweet girl. That still feels funny to say.

18w belly shot

Jackson's first school picture.

His class wrote a story together. Each student gave one sentence. Jackson's was clearly his. Lol
He is going to be a race car driver for Halloween. ;)

We had our family pictures done. The lovely Miss Shannon is so awesome.

Daddy, CC and Mr Ed ran in another 1/2 marathon. They all did so awesome!

And with all of that I may have to make another post of the videos. Blogger is making my spacing wonky and I don't have the brain power to fight it.

The Reveal in pictures.

Well, we are still in shock over here at the W house hold. I think this whole girl thing may take a minute to soak in.

I wanted to tell the story about how the party came about so I have it down somewhere. I ended up having an ultrasound last Tuesday where they were 100% sure about the gender of the baby and the ball got rolling in a major way. We had the tech write the gender in a card and seal it. Donna who is our pastors wife and dear friend to us as a couple had the hard task of being the keeper of the secret. We wanted to be surprised with everyone so we took Donna the piñata, fillers (blue and pink) and the sealed card. It was the longest week of my life! I don't know how we waited 35w to find out Jack was a boy. Our friend Jane had thrown a lovely bridal shower the weekend before and offered to bring all the tables, and decorations. Pam and Bethany came with cameras in hand, and everyone else with food to share! It ended up being perfect weather and the perfect celebration of our girl! We even had some family from New Orleans come in town. We love that they were so excited to share in this they drove 14hrs to be here for only close to 50. Now onto the pictures!!!

The Piñata, the yellow highchair dad completely refinished for us. I love it! The gender guesses (how cute is the chalkboard Pam made) and the sweets!

The outside got transformed. Thanks Jane!
Everyone made their guesses!
Then it was time... Emotional was an understatement. Jackson was so happy.
All that pink!!!

It makes me teary all over again.
EEeeeepppp!
