The Rock Ranch {and anniversary weekend}

Friday night Brian and I snuck away for a date of our favorite meal. Sushi, yum yum.
We got all snazzy and can you believe did not take one picture.
Saturday we headed to the middle of nowhere The Rock Ranch.
They were having a hot air balloon festival and I have never seen a balloon up close.
So we thought this would be a fun day trip.
The Ranch itself is very family friendly it would be a fun place to visit just for the day.
There was so much for Jackson to do and he loved it!
The food was bleh, and the balloons didn't set up until about an hour before
we left. Nap time is serious business with a two year old so we needed to head out.
So next year I do think we will go back but, plan better.
That night we headed to a culdesac cookout and had a blast.
Everyone is so fun and we had quite the spread. Truly a great night.

Here are some photo's of the weekend

Those eyes melt my heart
On the train viewing the sites.
He loved the horses... Ye Haw
running to the next thing.
This might have been my favorite "Jackson" moment of the day.
We put him on one of these tractors. Thinking he would sit and push buttons.
They had a track set up  with about 5 of these in it.
Then suddenly...
Off he went. Turns and all.
He was so proud and we couldn't quit laughing. I think we may
need to look into one of these for Christmas.
Jumping houses. He now loves them.

This was a mini community all kid sized and all air conditioned.
Super cute. Pic taken from our hay ride.
They had some bikers come in from a ride and we had to check them out.
No worries grandpa he went straight to the Harley's.
Even got to chill on an Ultra Classic like grandpa's.
 fun playgrounds galore
 weeeeee weeee
corn crushing? I don't know the country word for it.
This place was huge. There was stuff to do everywhere.
 semi family pic.
I am going to do a whole post on the balloons.
They were amazing!

On our wagon ride back to the car. Someone is fading fast.
This was the only picture Brian grabbed of the party that night.
It does no justice but, the party was amazing.
Fire pit, lot's of music, toasting, eating, catching up and celebrating the fall season.

So.Much.Fun.

Happy Anniversary.

This was us 6 years ago today
Our first official family picture.

and our most recent family picture.

{We are having a family fall photo session next weekend. I can't wait!}

Like a fine wine, we get better with age.
{Our first dance}
Let's stay together

I'm, I'm so in love with you
Whatever you want to do
Is alright with me
'Cause you make me feel, so brand new
And I want to spend my life with you

Me sayin' since, baby, since we've been together
Ooo, loving you forever
Is what I need
Let me, be the one you come running to
I'll never be untrue
Ooo baby

Let's, let's stay together
Loving you whether, whether
Times are good or bad, happy or sad

Oooo oooo ooo ooo, yeah
Whether times are good or bad, happy or sad

Why somebody, why people break up
Oh, and turn around and make up
I just can't seeeeeeeee
You'd never do that to me
(Would you baby)
'Cause being around you is all I see
It's why I want us to

Let's, let's stay together
Loving you whether, whether
Times are good or bad, happy or sad

Let's, let's stay together

I love you B.
More now than 6 years ago
 even though
 I would have sworn
 that wasn't possible.

6 years ago today...

This guy was getting ready to marry...
{with Brandy who introduced us. Thanks Girl}

This girl... in three days.
{dancing salsa with said Brandy}

I was so excited, nervous and about to make the best decision of my life.
We are far from perfect but, what we are is a team.
Facing the same direction. Through ups and downs that are just life.
We are celebrating all weekend.
I'll be back Monday with a fun recap.

Happy Weekend Lovies.

Three for Wednesday.

1. It is 11:04pm and I am glued to the tv watching the Chilean rescue.
The first man is about to come to the surface of the earth again.
I am in tears. I can not imagine what emotions they must all be feeling.
This is absolutely amazing to watch.
32 men trapped in a mine.
There are 31 left to bring to the surface.
Wow.
One was quoted to say "There are 34 of us down here because God has not not left our side."
I have goosebumps.
It is 11:10pm and he is out.
History has been made.

2. I was listening to my Pandora today.
I have made some of the best stations.
Bub's and I were having a dance party. Two songs played that made me smile.
Back to back, I love when that happens.
One was Toad the Wet Sprocket.
Man I loved this song. 8th grade summer.

The second was Lisa Lobb.
Another 8th grade summer song.
That was a great summer of music. I LOVED Reality Bites.

I am sure Jackson thought I had lost it when I started jumping around like a dork doing my best Ducky dancing but, after a few seconds he joined in and I think won't have any long term damage.

3. Is that we had his Halloween mini session done today with Miss. Meredith www.519photography.com
For the rest of the day he kept saying
"mommy that was a cute lady, that marah-ith"
I think he might have his first crush on an older woman.
Pictures to come. They are all amazing!
{if you click my facebook page you can see a sneak}

Hope you all have an amazing Wednesday.

Light the Night

Because this was such an amazing night
I wanted to show a few more pictures.

The Team Tent!
They had all of these cute characters for the adults kids.
 Nothing but Love for Caroline.
Look at the awesome sea of orange.
 The Team!
 The signed sign.
 The start of the walk
 It was an amazing walk
 We finished!
Mom and Miller "running" for Caroline.

It seems like so many of us are touched by someone in our lives with cancer.
These walks and the money they raise are so important to help find a cure.
I encourage all of you to find one locally and sign up.
It's an amazing thing to do!

Sunday Citar: Hope is the thing with feathers

Team Caroline
Light the Night Leukemia Walk.

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune--without the words,
And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.

I've heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.
EMILY DICKINSON

This is one of Caroline's favorite sayings.
So it just seemed right for today.
It was an honor in the midst of everything this week
has been to take a step back
and walk, pray, and celebrate Caroline and her fight.
Life is so precious guys.
