Freshening Up.

The Kitchen that is.

For sometime I have been wanting our kitchen space
to feel brighter and more modern. While I am a huge fan of wood cabinets our taste
is more dark stains not the odd medium blah tone ours are.
With a budget of less than $100 and some help from my dad
(who helped me paint our entire house when we bought it)
and Nanny to watch Jackson :). We are starting today! I am so excited.
We couldn't decide what we thought would be different enough and with in
our budget. Than to my delight while looking through a Lady's Home Journal I found it! They did a kitchen makeover done by a HGTV designer I really like. Kristen Cunningham actually redid her own kitchen and the style was just what we were looking for.
You can see it... HERE.

While her $1000 budget was 10 times ours. We still felt we could accomplish this look for what we had to work with. Good thing Dad's labor is free because he loves us. :)

So with out further ado...

The Before:

(I need to do some major organizing of the cabinets, I don't think I realized how much stuff I had until the doors came off. Yikes!)

Brian hates all the refrigerator clutter. I never realized how much stuff I had up there!
It won't come back...

The "Pantry" will also Freshen up.
Step 2: No doors. ECK!

So there you have it. Our starting point.
We are thinking two days for the project so check back to see our after.
I am so excited!

You know I can't post without a cute picture of Bub's so here you go...

What a Weekend.

This weekend was FULL!
Benefits, birthdays, and wedding showers, Oh my.

Saturday Mr.B and I headed up to Buckhead for a great cause. A wonderful girl I went to school with has been diagnosed breast cancer. She is having a double mastectomy at the beginning of September. Some of her friends at work threw a benefit at Fado and it was a wonderful night of raising money and catching up. We are saying prayers and have every faith that Miss. Ashley will come out of this healthy and with great new boobies!

After we left there we headed on down to meet up with friends to celebrate a birthday for one of our friends Miss K, who is also getting married next saturday.
We are so excited for them!

Bub's stayed with CC and Bobby and had a wonderful time. It's nice to have nights alone but, we are always so glad to have him back home.

Today we had a "girly" shower for Miss K . She got some really cute stuff that I am sure will knock Mr. K's socks off. :)

This week is exciting!
Big Sissy starts Kindergarden tomorrow!
We are doing a little Kitchen re-do.
(watch for before and after pictures)
The Big Wedding of Miss K and Mr. K.

Busy, busy but, oh so fun!

I leave you with my big boy drinking out of his new cup, come on could he be any cuter?

Bath Time

We have a favorite thing to do in this house, and by we, I mean Jackson.
(Lord knows I wouldn't fit in the sink!)

Bath time in the sink = So Much Fun

Take a look:

(sorry for the graininess I was trying something new, won't happen again)

One day do you think he will kill me for all of these bath pictures?

Hope this made you smile.

Jello and a PT update.

Jello, an all american summer treat, right?
I mean what child doesn't love that jiggly summer treat?

Well, me for one.

I guess it was a texture thing or maybe the flavors. YUCK.
Now don't worry. I am not going to deprive my sweet baby jello goodness just
because his mom has a weird dislike for it.

See. I made him Cherry. The number 1 jello flavor.

Gotta love this face...
Ut Oh...
Oh man...
"Mom whatever that was. DO NOT do it again."

Point taken little man, point taken.
You may be daddy's spitting image but, you got your momma in there too.

To say this made me smile is an understatement.
Want to know something else that makes me smile?

Physical Therapy. You heard me right.
The very thing I cursed last week and gave me an awful stomach ache the closer I got today. Made me smile. Jackson got a new physical therapist today and she was amazing. Her approach was completely different and it was wonderful. There was a good 20 minutes that he forgot he wasn't next to me. He laughed and we got a lot of great information and some new stretches and games to play. This is such a relief I didn't know how we were going to get through it after last week. I can once again say I am excited to see where it takes us.

Please say a prayer for Sweet Baby Stellan. He isn't doing well again. His little heart is fighting like crazy. You can click his button to the right and read up on his story. We are asking for a miracle.
