Lena update. 26w-32w

Things have certainly progressed and grown (my belly) these last 7 weeks. We are pretty ready for Miss Lena although we would love for her to give us another 5 or so weeks.

Our friends and family spoiled her rotten and her little space is all ready for her arrival (see last post). It's quickly becoming one of my favorite spaces to daydream.

On the pregnancy front things have been an uphill battle. I have gestational diabetes this go round but, the diet has kept me on track and at my apt last Wednesday I am holding steady at 17lbs gained so far this pregnancy. Much better than with Jackson. So the diet changes and being more conscious of what I am doing has paid off. My fluid has stayed pretty steady and high at 31cm each week. Although, last week  my fluid levels measured in at 20cm! This well in the normal range and we are praying with getting the GD under control my body is starting to let her regulate the fluids better. *Saying prayers they are the same this wed at her scan. I am still going to the OB weekly for my P17 shots. 3 more left! I am so ready to be done with these bad boys! OUCH. Weekly visits to the perinatoligist also happen and we watch Lena's breathing and have growth scans done. Last week she was measuring right at 4lbs 7oz. I know these numbers are often off and only estimates but, it's always fun to see her. Other than that I feel great. Granted a bit over it some days. So here we are several weeks out from meeting our girl. Typically, you go into labor 7-10 days after your last shot, that would put me at Feb 10ish? Daddy thinks they will share a birthday Feb 15th and I just want her here and healthy anywhere in that time frame. So we shall see!

Lena's Baby Shower.

This weekend two of my awesome, gorgeous, uber talented girlfriends threw Lena the sweetest shower. It was the most beautiful shower I have ever been to. No detail was left unthought of and our girl was spoiled for sure!

My precious girlfriends Donna & Pam. I have no words to tell you how lucky I am to count both of these ladies as my girlfriends/family. Pam is Nanny/bestie/brain sharer and Donna and I have become very close these past few years and will be MIL's one day together. As Jackson and our Samantha girl are going to be married.

The Details. The French Market was such a sweet place to have the shower and Pam and Donna put in so much work making sure everything was just right.
All the ladies at the shower/ My sweet Marbear got Lena something to wear to her competitions (she is only a little excited) / Adding another girl to this bunch / I can't believe it's been 9 years since a girl baby. It seems like yesterday I was rocking Marah.
So many sweet and girly things. I am kind of overwhelmed by the pink right now. Everyone brought a book and signed it. We have had fun reading them this week and setting them up in Lena's room.
Such a fun day to catch up with girlfriends, and family. We are so lucky to be surrounded by so much love.

I have some holiday/Lena/nursery catching up to do. Hopefully I will get in gear this week. ;) 6 weeks to go!

Christmas Program 2012

I could go on and on about how much we love Jackson's school and how awesome this year has been for him so far. Instead I will share the most adorable 14 minutes you could ever watch.

Thanks Daddy for videoing the show! I was pretty teary eyed throughout.

And some pictures from the night.
The program.

Trying not to smile with mommy.

Singing.

My sweet family of four.
And you know we had to celebrate the great night with ice cream!

It was such a sweet start to the Holidays for us.

25 weeks. Lena update.

Oh, Miss Lena. Let's play catch up on all things you.

We have made some progress in your nursery. Planning a girl room while not being the biggest girly girl has proven a little tough. I want it to feel eclectic, fun, and be something you can grow with. I think we are on the right path.
During...

I am having the P17 shots every week to keep you cooking. So far, so good. I joke you are already a pain in the rear but, really it's all worth it as long as you are ok. They burn like all get out and are not so fun but, eye on the prize. I'm going to have to get creative since this week is #6 and I don't know how I will hold the phone and snap a picture. 10 more to go and yes, we are counting down.

We found out last week that my fluid levels are looking pretty high. Not extreme but, enough to make Dr. Singh want to send me back to the perinatoligist who confirmed in fact that I do have polyhydramnios. My #'s are in the high 20's. It's a big word with some scary things that are associated with it but, we are prayerful with close monitoring you and I will both be ok. Have I mentioned you are giving me a run for my money this go round. Here are some of the best articles I have found about that long word up there.

One.    Two.   Three.
Needless to say we are praying, praying, praying that mine is an easy case and my numbers stay where they are and don't start rising. On the plus side we really like my perinatoligist a lot. It's always comforting to have a great team. She said you looked great and we just have to keep a close eye on everything. Well, that's what she said in a nutshell. ;)

Onward and Upward. We went and registered for you a couple weeks ago. Pam and Donna are planning a shower for you that I am sure will be so fun and beautiful. Jackson thought the whole scanner gun thing was the best thing ever!

Well, I think I have caught us up. This picture was taken last week. 24w4d I think. So far I have gained about 10lbs but, I feel really good most days. I can tell it's time for my shot again by Mon/Tues night because I have a lot of tightening but, other than that we are doing great and counting down until we get to meet you.  Can you tell how excited Jack is? He loves you so much already, we all do. Stay put little momma. Give us those last 10w at least ok?

Halloween 2012

Late to the game but, he was so cute none the less. He wanted to be a race car driver this year. He decided in August and never changed his mind. Nothing to do with Nascar just as if he was the famous race car driver. Zulily to the rescue. He looked so cute and it had his baseball number all over it! Go #23!!!

We had so much fun trick or treating that evening and that day at his school fall festival. :)
All in all it was an awesome day. I can't believe next year we will be trick or treating with two.

Fall Festival at preschool.
Super cute with the pumpkin he made.

 Class picture.

 Made every shot!

Time to trick or treat!

Bobby and CC brought the golf cart over so he could be like a real race car driver.

 Such a fun night!

Because sometimes you just need to go to church,

On a Monday. Last week/end has been filled with answered prayers and friends with mourning hearts.

A good friend found out last week that her 2 year old has a brain tumor and within 24hrs she was scheduled for surgery. She is doing great but, still has quite the road in front of her. Please remember Reesey and her family in your prayers. You can donate here or be apart of the auction here.

I also have two sweet ladies in my life who lost their mom's this weekend. One on Friday and one last night. Both are feeling this loss in a major way so please hold up Mckenzie and Rosie in your prayers.
For never meeting and being almost 30 yrs difference in age their stories are so similar. Both fought hard and took such amazing care of their mom's until the very last breath. I can't help but, think this is both such a gift and heartbreaking. Thinking of you guys.

We are also praying for those effected by Sandy. It's so sad to think a week later and some people haven't seen sight of help yet.

In all things we worship and praise your name. You are good, you are faithful, you are in control and for that we have the hope to keep on, keeping on~

Something on your heart? I am always here to pray for you friends. xoxo
