Yes, back with another catch up post. What can I say we are loving the warm weather here and staying busy. This week it has been a tad cooler but, it hasn't stopped us from playing outside and our afternoon walks.

1. A cold morning this week and me and my guy spent some time at Academy. His favorite store.
2. Walking, walking, walking. 4-5 days a week! Woop whoop.
3. Indoor hockey games.
4. Celebrating friends birthday parties. The digging corner was a big hit.
5. Finishing the birthday party crafts. Robots!
6. Zoo time with Miss A.
7. Registering for pre-school!
8. When did my baby boy get this big! He takes up more than half of me. ::tear::
9. Tuba, tuba, tuba. Drum, drum, drum. Getting ready for Mardi Gras!

A Funny and A Cute

Oh my guy, he keeps us laughing.

I have a post of the silly things he says coming soon but, I wanted to remember these two stories.

Although, he will likely kill me for the first one day.

The Funny.

{if you don't want to read about poop skip this one}

Jackson is potty trained but, still needs help wiping. Since he will be starting

pre-k in the fall he will need to do this himself. So the other day when he called me into the potty

I explained that from now on, I will help him and then he will take a turn wiping so he can get used to it.

I cleaned him and handed him the paper to wipe.

I kid you not, his hand went back there and he straight up gagged and said "that is discussing".

I busted out laughing. Well played Jack. I agree. ;)

The Cute.

Jackson's favorite color is ~~weddow~~ yellow.

The other day after lunch with Lala, Nanny and Durham, Jackson asked the lady at Chick Fil A if he could have a balloon. She asked him what his favorite color was and while she was pulling it out I prompted "what do you say" as placed the balloon in his hand and he blurted out "I LOVE YOU".

He actually blushed. It was so cute. She said "Oh, I love you too". He tucked into my leg and was so embarrassed he hadn't said thank you. Later that night he was with mom and told her the story in his fast and furious way that I love so much. My sweet boy.

We have been having quite a few play dates lately and enjoying Nanny's maternity leave.

Amazing.

The wedding was breathtaking. Haley made a gorgeous bride and Kelly super handsome.

It was such a lovely night. Addison stole the show for sure. Their little girl is just a doll who we love so much. The reception was so much fun. Some of the best food I've had at a wedding. The dancing, the laughs, the company. It was all perfect! Enjoy the pictures.

Such a fun time. We always enjoy spending any time with family but,
celebrating something so special as a wedding makes it that much better.

I heard over the weekend that Etta James passed away. I walked down the aisle to At Last.
It's hard not to rem inis over your own wedding at a wedding. I am one lucky lady for sure.
Rest in peace Etta. Your music is so romantic and was the soundtrack for one special day in my life.

Friday Phone Dump...

Lazy Blogger Award goes to... Me!

Ha, and I'm back with a phone dump.

1. Momma got some new shoes. Our goal {Daddy, Jack and I} is to get a jog/walk in 4 days a week.

This week we have rocked it. It's amazing how a new pair of shoes after yours are two years old feel amazing. I am a flip flop girl. I don't love tennis shoes but, love these.

2-3. My sister left Baloo at my parents this weekend and we had fun playing "faster than the dog" and taking pictures of her "baby" and sending her updates.

4. Mardi Gras wreath. Thanks Pineterest. We are getting excited for this year. Actually we are headed to NOLA this weekend for a wedding. We can't wait to celebrate with everyone.

5. Dinner with a super hero. ;)

6. Gillded vase. Thank you interest again and my favorite flowers. Makes me happy.

7-8. Silly babies they get so excited when they get to see each other. <3

9. 8 year olds are much louder than 3. Just saying.

1-2. We had a great week with Nanny and D. That boy is so sweet and it's always good to spend time with your bestie. When they left on Tuesday out of he blue Jackson said "Oh No, I forgot to kiss Durham bye". Good thing they came back wed and he got his snuggles in. <3

3-4. Jackson has been talking non stop about making popcorn with CC. He finally got to the other night and he literally squealed he was so excited. I love it. He was so proud.

I feel like I need to bring this situation to the public. I got man handled during a pedicure to get ready for said wedding we are going to this weekend. If anyone knows me, then you know I hate to have ANYTHING in-between my toes. I was getting a lovely pedicure, web surfing on my phone and not paying attention, my bad. In one second flat buddy shoved these socks on my feet. I almost puked but, since I thought that would be rude. I busted out laughing and started crying. I couldn't even form words.

These things were awful and the worst part was I couldn't take them off until my toes dried or I would have messed them up. #princessproblems. I know, I know but, dude. Don't mess with between my toes.

Not cool nail guy. Not cool.

1. 3year old + 50 pennies and a fountain = Heaven

It's the small things people.

2. We have been on lots of walks this year.

I have actually logged more miles in

11 days than 6 months last year. Woop Woop.

This one was even in the rain.

3. Daddy and Jack have been getting lots of lego play in.

This rocket was actually in one piece for two days.

Thats crazy considering Jackson's favorite part about legos is karate

chopping them once they are done.

4. I have had this dress for at least two years. It was a tad ~~sausage~~ tight

when I bought it but, it has sat in the back of the closet until now.

I love it and left the tag on it. I love it even more thinking I spent $5 on it.

Jack and I are headed to NOLA for a wedding soon. We can't wait!

5. Boo for the sickies. I woke up yesterday and felt like I had been hit by a Mac truck.

The dr said they are seeing this hybrid infection since the weather has been so warm lately. :(

I got a shot and feel so much better today. I am still going to take it easy this weekend.

I am actually looking forward to it.

I have a board on Pinterest filled with those silly sayings that we all nod our heads in agreement with when we read them. A friend posted this on FB and I thought it was worth sharing because it is so very true.

think you have to actually change your values system, and you have

to revolutionize yourself in order to do it properly, because kids

can’t raise kids, and I think you’re somewhat a kid until you have

them, then you really have to grow up."

At 3.5 the fits have invaded our home. Not daily but, often enough to take notice. It's so frustrating. You see, when you have kids. You want people to love them, regardless of how they act. So even when my kid is screaming and yelling "I want to throw balls at people" {true story} I want the world to say, "Oh, that Jackson Rush I just adore him". The past couple of weeks we have thought about how we are reacting to Jack. Books we can read and learn some better ways to handle this new phase in parenting. All we really want is the same thing as parents {and I have a great friend who constantly encourages me that we are all in this together. Love you D} to end up with well adjusted, open minded, kind, thoughtful, polite grown ups. Not to much to ask right? ;) I asked this on a few "mommy" type forums and while overall I was met with "yes, we have all been there" read this/try this. I was also met with small back handed slaps. Any how this is how I got on my soap box. The end of the story is this. This parenting thing, it's for life. These little people grow into big people. So how we handle them now. It's all connected. All of these decisions we are making now, will shape who they are tomorrow. It's kind of a big deal. So don't act like your "you know what" doesn't stink. That your kid/parenting is perfect. It doesn't help the rest of us out there in the fight feel very encouraged. Fess up. We are all just doing our best. So maybe throwing a little side eye is normal from time to time but, in the end we all need to keep it real. It is so fun but, it's also pretty scary sometimes.

100x over again worth it but, parenting is no joke. Just ask any parent of a 3 1/2 yr old. ;)

Last year I choose a word.

Thoughtful.

I wanted to be more thoughtful through out the year.

I would give myself a 60/100. I tried and there were times I really thought of others first.

Other times I must honestly admit, I judged or got angry and thoughtfulness was the furthest thing from my heart. It's a work in progress and while I am keeping thoughtful for another year, (and perhaps every year for now on because I think it is so important) this year I am going a different way.

This year I want to BE.

Be prayerful. This is one I struggle with weekly. I swear I do great and then fall off the wagon.

I need this one for my family and for me. I am a better wife/momma/friend/ect when I have this one in place. It's a no brainer and yet the one I have the worse ADD with.

Be patient. I think terrible twos is a joke. Hold on ladies, cause 3 might be a whole new level.

This year I am really wanting to teach Jackson to be more thankful. I think I will need patience.

Be a wife. {7 years counting} This past year has been an amazing one in our marriage. 2012 should be even better. We have had some trying times this year and had to make some tough choices but, I feel like we came out the other side even stronger. It's hard to see that in the moment but, I will stand beside him no matter what choices he makes. He is my man. ;)

Be healthy. Yes, yes the old "get in shape" Wah, wah waaahhh. Really I want to lose the 10lbs I have adopted as "cute" and get back to my best healthy me.

Be in touch. I want to write notes this year. Letters even to friends and family. I want to the people I love to know it and not just because I assume they do.

Be happy. I want to not sweat the small stuff. I let little, silly things and people bother me way more than I should and it takes my focus off what matters. I said to a few people last year this pin I found and I am owning it this year myself.

"Do not let the things that matter most, be at the mercy of those that matters least".

A few days early. ;)

This week has been a wonderful way to end the year.

Celebrated mom's birthday {twice}, got some great baby news, got some great mommy friend news.

Got to visit with Drew coming in town {Jack cried when he left}, got to hang out with some

great friends, and spent lots of family time. It's been grand.

I am hopeful and excited for what 2012 will bring.

I shall be back with a recap of Christmas but, wanted to get this down so I didn't forget it.

This morning Jackson was worried that he hadn't told Santa thank you.

I explained that the cookies and milk are away of saying thanks and that Santa knew he was thankful.

Then he asked me since it was Jesus birthday and then he got lots of presents when Mother's Day would be? I asked him why and he said "because I love you mommy and I want to make you hearts".

My sweet baby is so thoughtful. I hope he always stays this way or that I can at least remember these moments during the days he is not acting so sweet. ;)

We are so very blessed.

We had a great visit with Santa this year. We actually saw him in early November. Jackson didn't cry so that was a big improvement from last year. He was very serious but, was pretty excited about him when we left. The video this year was just great. They talked about what Jackson wanted and how he had been this year.

Gingerbread Time

Mind Dump

Durham is here! Durham was born last Thursday and to say he is perfect would be an understatement. This is my favorite picture I took of him the day he was born. Aside from the first family shot. Go check out more here.

The holidays are some of my favorite times of the year. I always hit a point when I hate that we have schedules at all. I just wish there was more time to fit everything fun in. I get a tad overwhelmed sometimes and just crave being a homebody in December. On another note, I read somewhere about someone saying their love language was giving presents and I couldn't agree more. The hunt, the deal, the love behind something makes me so happy. I would love to be a personal shopper. So I could have all the fun but, not spend the money. This year we are doing gifts on a big budget but, it's kind of exciting to see what we can come up with. I made this tonight. Some lucky people will be getting bottles. Yummy.

I am loving the way our house is looking more festive. I need to post some pictures soon. That also means I need to take some pictures to share.

Jackson has been having breathing issues again. :( These came on fast and are being awfully stubborn. I think we have found the right medicine. Fingers crossed and prayers being accepted. I just hate when my little guy feels bad.

We get to go visit Wyatt {and his mommy and daddy} in a couple weeks. I can't wait to get my snuggles in

with him. They just live to far.

B and I have a date planned for this weekend.

It is much needed and I am excited to get to sneak away with my guy for a few hours. We are going to see one of our favorite bands.

I am so full of emotions as my bestie and her husband are getting

ready to welcome their sweet Durham into the world.

I am so thankful to have you in my life Nanny.

Thankful, Thankful.

We have laughed and cried. Danced and celebrated.

Ate and shopped. You have helped me become

the mommy that I am today.

You have loved my sweet boy from the very start.

I can assure you I can say the same about Durham.

So tomorrow, when you hear him cry for the first time and hold him and smell that "my baby" smell for the first time. When you feed him and you watch Chris hold his son and become a daddy.

This year we are thankful that we grew by 6 pounds 12 oz, 19.5 in at 1:34pm, friday November 25th.

It was a long day and poor Tori had a rough afternoon too.

But, eye on the prize.

I am so in love.

Can you believe how lucky I am.

I get to have another nephew on Thursday.

Ch Ch Changes...

This may be a little thing for everyone but, it feels like big stuff to us. Since in this economy our "starter home" became our "forever home". We have been making minor updates around the house.

Sure, we have a laundry list since our house is a little older.

~~replace window that are drafty, seal everything, paint house, fix deck boards, update master bath~~

But, the reality for us is slow and steady.

A little ch ch change at a time.

Our kitchen area looked like this before.

Wooden slat blinds all around. They are nice but, honestly 4 out of the 6 were janky and wouldn't open/close all the way. Or had broken pieces since they came with the house like this.

It also gets really hot in the summer and cold in the winter in this part of our house. Not to mention the sun is blinding in the afternoon. Since we loved the light but, not the blinds we decided to take them down one day. It got our wheels turning but, the blank windows left us feeling kind of naked. lol

Best view I could find although, the angle is way different.

So ~~part~~ a lot of my day yesterday was spent like this.

Sewing machine, pandora, ironing board, iron.

From Ikea these curtains were the best for our budget.

They came with metal circle rings at the top.

Not our style. So I sewed new tops and hemmed the bottom.

and now...

In the dark, since it gets dark at 6.

Anyone else hate daylight savings time?

All finished. We love them.

Not a huge change but, man it feels like one!

Now to convince B we need a farm table. lol

Little changes at a time but, we are happy happy.

We saw the big guy this weekend and there were no tears!

Jackson loved him and did awesome.

He may have welled up at the end because he thought he
would give him presents that day but,

it went awesome. Pictures to come.

I do believe our boy is potty trained! Woo Hoo!

This is the breast feeding/formula feeding of toddler parents.

If I heard one more time "Oh, {insert name} was potty trained right after his first birthday. Don't worry Jack will get it" Gah! Backhanded compliment. We knew he would do it and it just had to be his time. No accidents in 4 days and only big boy underwear. Seriously, how cute is a hiney in big boy underwear?!

So, so cute!

Crappy:

Daddy is working like crazy again this week. Open to close monday-saturday. Crappy for daddy because 6, 12 hour days is no fun and he is running crazy. Also crappy because we miss him. :(

Crappy:

I got my first speeding ticket since college friday. 10+ years. Boo.

I honestly 100% thought the speed limit was 45. Unfortunately, it was a tricky back road where it changes to 35 for about a mile and I didn't notice. Gah, I was so mad at myself. Not fun for sure.

Was so much fun! You guys it really must just get better each year.

This was the first year Jackson was really all about it.

He marched right up to the door and had to knock himself.

After the third house he was telling us

"I'm just going by myself, ok?"

Lord, help us. I told him mommy or daddy had

to stand with him until he was 7. lol

He was pretty worried about "filling my pumpkin to the top, ok? Then we can go home"

All "by himself" at the door of our neighbor.

I am throwing bestie her baby shower this weekend. Hosting with her Mom and SIL. It is by far the hardest thing I have done keeping everything a secret. KILLING ME! She is my sounding board for most things and I just am so excited to celebrate her little man and shower her. I can not wait for her to see everything we have put together. I am already getting choked up thinking about it.

Hung out with some friends last Sunday and had so much fun. It's so much fun to be with people who are just easy (that's what she said). The kids all love each other, the daddies get along, and we can chat.

Remember in my last post I mentioned that fabric I had gotten to make pillows for the couch? I used two of them and finished them up a few days ago. I am loving them.

Mom made it home safe and sound last weekend from Colorado. She went and visited her best friend (my Godmother) Marlene and came home with a ton of old pictures. These go with out comments. Check out the awesome.

Found my dream pair of fall boots at Famous Footwear of all places. They are Steve Madden (last session but, who cares) and I am in love. The lady even mentioned they had a 20% off coupon online and you can bet your bottom I printed it out before I bought them. Woop. Woop!

Please pray for my dear dear friend Lala. She lost her dad last week. We are going tomorrow to squeeze her neck. I just can't imagine. So send a few warm thoughts her way please.

Jack: (as he lays a hand on my shoulder)

"Mommy everyone has to be sad sometimes, it's just ok".

And he walks off. I had to leave the room so I

didn't bust out laughing in front of him.

He has also started in the last week or two singing with the radio. Even to songs I didn't think he would know. It is so funny. I am going to try and catch it on video.

Oh, this boy. He keeps me on my toes for sure.

I love every second. Even if I am worn out at the end of everyday.

Soccer 2011 Team Thunder!

Team Thunder started last Friday and it was so fun.

It's more fundimentials and practice than an actual game.

It was so cute and Jackson had a blast!

It's a small small world. He was great with the kids and Jackson hasn't stopped talking about him.

Friday is Jackson's first soccer game and it's our weekend with Marbear.

I don't know who is more excited, Daddy or Bub's.

Plus it's the first day of fall! Come on cooler weather!

This past week we cashed in a Groupon to see the Braves.

One of Jackson's favorite summer past times.

1-2-3 swing!

The stadium has a kids zone. They have people playing kids baseball the whole game.

If it was up to Jackson we would play here the whole time.

I won't lie, most of our time is in here. We watch maybe 20 minutes of the game and play the rest.

If you saw Jackson in action you would know why. My dad said it brought tears to his eyes to see Jack so excited to play with the big kids. He hit the ball every up to bat. Just saying. ;)

Jackson's second favorite thing to do at the game is watch Yogi Bear. A sweet young man who plays the big drum. He remembered Jackson from the last game and gave him some drum sticks. Holy Moly. He was/is so excited about them. Thanks Yogi! You are a much talked about part of the Braves in our house. This is Jack watching Yogi play the drums while holding his new sticks.

Mom and I went to a local festival this weekend. Tis the season and I love it!

Jackson petting the cows. We had a fun time at the festival and I even had the chance to get an emergency kit done for Jackson. The local lodge sponsored having the kids emergency information put in kits for you so that if God forbid you needed it you would have it.

Fingerprints, DNA, pictures of all four profiles and all his important information. Together in one place.

It made my stomach hurt a little to even think about needing it but, I am so glad it is locked away in the safe. I thought this was a wonderful free thing to take advantage of.

In the fire truck. He is now saying when he grows up this will be his job.

This is just funny to me. This is Jackson's new thing.

Life with a 3 year old is funny. It is never boring.

This is one of those mommy stories I mostly just want to remember for myself.

Jackson is very worried about things being in families.

I am not really sure where this has come from.

Maybe his new obsession with The Berenstain Bears?

He wants everything to have a mommy and daddy counterpart.

Today in the kitchen while making sandwiches for everyone before we head to the Braves game.

Jackson was sitting on the floor by the table playing with some toys.

He was also noticing I made a couple spills of blue paint from who knows what project as the table is my workspace. He kept asking me about this one big stain and I was honestly half listening because I am cutting up veggies for the sandwiches. Honestly also because sometimes he is just talking to Sable. ;)

So after I am done I look at the spots he is talking about and

scratch off the dime sized spot he was talking about.

Our conversation goes like this:

Me: There ya go buddy. All gone no need to worry about it. Mommy just made a mess.

Jack: Oh no mommy, put it back.

Me: What back, that paint? It was like a spill. I just cleaned it up.

Jack: (with tears in his eyes) but, mommy the baby ones and mommy are missing their daddy.

They are so sad now that he is gone.

He was heart broken.

My sweet boy.

He is three so it's not like I can explain that paint splatters don't have

daddies or mommies, much less feelings.You can bet your bottom.

I painted another dot on the floor. This time on purpose.

This satisfied him completely and off he went.

He will forget about them in a day and they will all be taken up.

But for now he is happy the dot family is back together.

**note to self, clean up after yourself mommy or your

floor will be splatter painted with dot families forever.**

Never Forget. ♥ Heartbroken for those that lost, so proud of those that stepped up to help that day, and honored to live in a country that fights for our freedom and can come together when the going gets tough.

I think it was such a senseless act that took far to many lives.
I watched all morning. Listened to the bells ring, the moments of silence, the names that were read out. It's so sad.
This is such an awesome 9/11 Tribute. It made me smile.

I pray for the families who lost that day and for the families who have loved ones fighting for this freedom

I know we take for granted.

It is perfect for you at this time. Words from a teacher I say often.

I don't think truer words have ever been spoken.

Life is not perfect, their are messes, unmade beds and fits.

Bumped lips and arguments. There are also bedtime snuggles, clean up parties, lunch dates, dancing in the living room and Bernstein bear movie nights. There is food in the fridge, pantry and our belly's. Fun plates to eat off of, beds to sleep in, church families who really care. Coloring pages, facebook messages just to say I miss you. Baby showers to plan, two to be exact. In three more months new lives to cuddle. Seven year anniversary's coming up with no itches in sight. Holiday's and birthdays. Sure their is work, not so fun days, family drama you wish you could wish away.

Right now, right this moment. We are doing the best we can to make this little family of ours succeed. Some days we have to remember to hold hands. Some days we have to remember to breathe. Most days we are thankful and half glass full. So cheers, take a minute and sit on the thankful seat. You can always try and keep up with the Jones or want for more but, in the process you miss this time that is perfect for you right at this moment.
Don't miss the blessings of today wishing for better tomorrows.
I am learning this lesson daily.

It's Football Time!

Here in the south we are HUGE college football fans.

Don't get us wrong we are Saint's fans through and through too but, there is
just something about the kick off of college football that gets everyone excited.
Flags come out on cars, even more people are dressed in their team colors.
It's a great time to be from the south.

We kicked off the first Ga and LSU games at home.

Marah had her first football game the past weekend.

We hit up the Braves game friday night with Uncle Justin, Tori, and sissy.

They retired Bobby Cox number and it was such a fun game.

Home run after home run.

Saturday was spent at the pool then some friends all headed

to the BTE concert. Our friend Michelle is in love with this group.

She must be the biggest fan. It was such a perfect night for an outdoor concert.

The kids played and danced, the daddies hung out, and the mommies danced and talked.

Love my guys.

What a weekend. We have another big one

It's a Party.

This weekend Jack and I took a little road trip.

Nora was turning 3 and we couldn't miss it.

This was the last time we saw each other.

Yes, we now refer to time by our kids ages. So it's been year. Wait! It's been almost two.

We did see each other briefly in the middle of that but, the point is far to long!

Needless to say this trip was much needed and far to short.

Miss Nora celebrated her 3rd birthday with a luau. It was so much fun.

Kristen made the cake and even the fondant. It was made from marshmallows and so good!

Such a sweet girl and her sweet family.

Look at our babies playing now. Makes me so happy. They were instant buddies.

We had a bit of a family gender reveal party tonight.

It was so much fun.

Playing catch up yet again.

Miss Michelle ordered the kids the coolest tape toy ever!

It is tape that looks like a road and came with a zippy car.

Jackson has had so much fun with this tape.

It came all the way from Germany for him.

Evie has been wearing her super hero cape as a veil lately.

When Michelle told me this I remembered I had some veil material left from when I made

Nanny's for her wedding. I went and grabbed a few things and $4 later.

Had a princess wedding veil perfect for her.

She even wore it while we shopped at the outlet mall.

So stinking cute.

When I finally got around to taking down all Jackson's pictures from the party.

The tape pulled the chalkboard paint off.

Note to self for next time. I had a little touching up to do.

This was half way through. It looks good as new again.

We got some new fabric in from AuntJune. I adore her shop and

when I saw this grey sailboat material

I knew I needed to add some to Jackson's room.

I love that all her fabric is hand drawn and then printed.

Jackson may kill me for this post one day but, that's ok. It's a part of the journey.

Right after he pooped we were all excited and giving high fives.

We told Jackson he could get a prize and he asked if we could go to

target and we seriously jumped in the car. He asked to walk all the toy aisles

and he did. Looking at everything and really weighing his options.

So funny. He picked a remote control motorcycle.

Now fingers crossed this was not a fluke and we have made

it one step closer to no more pull ups!

Today is my dad's 61st birthday.

We spent the day at Fernbank

together with Sasha and Ben.

After Fernbank fun we went to Decatur and enjoyed

some Taqueria del Sol for lunch.

I have a few things {ok like a ton} I want

to remember about dad and Jack.

Since it's his birthday I thought I would share them.

I love that dad always says

"Hello, my friend" when he sees Jackson.

Because they really are buddies.

I love that dad ALWAYS has a boat cup waiting

for Jackson. I think Jack thinks this is magic.

I love that my dad calls Jackson, Jackie.

But, when I call him Jack he gets on to me and tells me his name is JackSON. ;)

I love that when ever we leave mom and dad's,

dad has to walk Jackson outside.

It is just their thing. So cute.

Birthday Weekend.

Was amazing.

I entered my 30's feeling spoiled,

and thankful for my family and friends.

Friday night we went out with friends and

celebrated Donna and I's birthdays.

The ladies, some of my favorite.

Mushroom and Swiss foam burger with

onion rings and a mango martini.

It was so good. I could have it again this week.

The kids have so much fun together but, when they

heard the Milkshakes were coming it was so cute.

This was Jackson's "I think I see it" face.

My Krispy Kreme was outstanding.

Afterwards Michelle and Niko had

everyone over for a champagne toast and cake.

Michelle was so sweet to make us this birthday treat.

It was so good.

Birthday morning I awoke to sweet

surprises from B and Jackson.

Mom and Pam {Nanny} had dropped off

goodies for me too.

I felt so lucky.

Nanny made us some mini

doughnuts with Grey icing.

Daddy and Jackson got me this necklace.

I am over the moon in love.

The tiny message inside said

The doughnuts were a big hit.

The boys were fighting over the last ones.

Such a sweet morning.

I had a bit of a spa day and then we went

to an Amazing dinner at

Social Vinings with mom and dad.

Shall be spent with some of my favorite people.

The day with my little man, I may even take his afternoon nap with him. Then dinner at Flip with an amazing crew,

followed by cake and a champagne toast at Michelle's for Donna and I. Social Vinings with mom and dad Saturday to celebrate our {dad and I} birthdays. Not to shabby. :)

Dear 20's,

You have been a blast! With me in college where I made some great memories and friends who I will have for life. School and job changes. Plenty of lake time, bonfires, dancing on tables, and live music. From pbr to glasses of wine. From dancing queen to sahm. You have been with me through heart ache and loss but, also the most important moments of my life. With me when I met a boy who "liked the way I talked", when we fell in love, said I do, bought a house, and had a baby. Celebrated that baby's 3rd birthday and a sixth wedding anniversary. It's been a grand time. Cheers 20's.

Let my 30's to know to be nice.

Pool Days

It has been HOT in Atlanta this week.

In turn it has given us the perfect excuse to be pool loungers. My dad got Jackson a puddle jumper and it has been just the thing to give him confidence in the water this year.

We have been visiting the Piedmont Park pool with Evie and gang a bit. They both have become quite the swimmers.

The pool is so nice, zero entry and has a lazy river.

The kids love it and it makes it so much easier on us. ;)

The last weekend in my twenty's.

That's right. I am entering my thirties on Saturday and I am so excited. This last weekend was so much fun and I wouldn't have done anything differently.

We started the weekend on thursday with Mani/Pedi's and

a quick drink with some of my favorite girls.

I convinced Sash to come meet up with me and we walked across the street to visit Miss Kelsey. She is an old friend of my brothers and such a doll. It was so good catching up and having a bit of girl time. Kelsey gave Donna and I a shot since we both have birthdays coming up. It was called Tuaca and tasted like burn! Ha. Donna and I can't hang like we used to we both felt a tad silly the next day.

Saturday morning daddy played in a golf tournament

{and his team came in first place!}

so we snuck in a visit to nanny that morning, and then got ready for a fireworks with friends. The city postponed the 4th of July fireworks for rain so we got to see them this weekend.

Jack was nervous but, did really well. We walked away so we weren't so close and he did much better. Jackson loves his friends so much and we love their parents. ;)

Sunday we took daddy to Fernbank. Jack was so excited to show him all of his favorite spots.

We had lunch with Stephanie and Christian at Leon's for lunch and had some yogurt tap before we headed home for nap time. Yes, we all napped. It was amazing.

Since we had such a big lunch we made popcorn for dinner and watched some Handy Manny before bed. Making popcorn like this is so fun. Jackson loves when we eat Hibachi and the man makes the egg "roll" and sings "I like to move it, move it" So anything with that motion gets the song. It was so funny tonight him singing it to the popcorn.

Such a great weekend!

Ok, very random hair thing.

Very Random.

I used to have super thick, long wavy hair and then I had the little love button you know as Jackson.

I had the normal pregnancy hair love while I was pregnant. It was even thicker and just nice.Then post pregnancy... BAM!

It all fell out. Seriously I lost like 70% of my hair.
My hair is now thin and frizzy. :/

I blow dry and curl it when ever we get fancy.

{read: 90% of the time it is just on top of my head with sunglasses}

I stumbled upon this hair tutorial in my reader,

tried to go back and find where I saw it but, I couldn't find it.

It's long but, in the first few minutes you get the idea and her accent is cute.

Shut-up. No heat and awesome curls. I am so excited.

and use a rubber hair band and sleep! So stinking cool.

I told Brian I thought this looked cute like this
and I could wear it out. He kissed my forehead. lol

Nice curls. I am so excited about this.

I give my mommy stamp of approval on this. Meaning even with a three year old hanging on my legs,
I could pull the hair band out and shake the curls.

Daddy plays golf on tuesdays so tuesday nights, Jack and I have date night. Tonight was turkey sandwiches with applesauce and banana bites cut up classy style.

We sat at the big table {kitchen table} and used

silverware for our nana's. After we ate we settled on the

couch for one of our favorite past times. Photobooth.

After we took these Jack turned to me and said

"This was a good date huh?"

I die. Love my 3 year old.

This may just be my new favorite way to blog. Hello dreamy old school typewrittter noise {#7 if you are curious} and driftingly fun music. I go between #5 and 3 for my tunes. I am sure in some way it makes me feel much more important in my thought than need be. The only thing I belive is missing and for me pretty important... Spell check. I am a horrid speller. At least in Omm it doesn't judge me for it and put those blasted red lines under my mistakes. I am blissfully unaware while I type, although for you reading that may just be no mas. :) Totally amazing and worth every penny of the $4.11 if you want the upgrades and FREE if you don't. Run grab this app. Super cool and worth it.

Random Happy and Sad.

This week has been great. We have rested,

had a movie date, had a pool day,

lunch date with daddy and it's only wed.

One of my good friends is coming in town next

week with her little man.

It's always tough when friends move away but, we are so happy they are so happy in there new home.

Still we are looking forward to hugging necks and

catching up in person!

I still have so much to catch up on blogging but, I am just not willing to stop the summer fun to do so. :)

A phone dump will have to do.

I took Jack to see his first movie in a theatre Sunday.

We went with our neighbor friends and we saw Cars 2.

It was very cute and he did good. he asked to leave a few times but, would

quickly get back into the movie and forget about it.

I forgot how much I love movie popcorn. I love salt.

Jack was a huge fan too!

I hope things don't come to divorce. I think that is such a sad ending though sometimes the best decision.
